Job Summary: The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain and logistics operations within the plastic manufacturing industry. This role ensures the efficient movement of raw materials, finished products, and packaging while maintaining cost efficiency, compliance, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:1. Supply Chain & Logistics Management Plan, coordinate, and monitor the entire supply chain, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Optimize logistics strategies to minimize costs and improve efficiency. Develop and implement best practices for inventory control and material handling. 2. Warehouse & Inventory Management Oversee inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste. Implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or overstocking. Coordinate with production and sales teams to forecast demand and manage stock levels. 3. Transportation & Distribution Manage domestic and international shipments of raw materials and finished products. Negotiate contracts with third-party logistics providers and freight carriers. Ensure timely delivery of goods while optimizing transportation costs. 4. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with local and international logistics regulations, including hazardous material handling and customs requirements. Implement safety protocols for material handling and transportation. Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory compliance. 5. Cost Control & Budgeting Monitor logistics expenses and develop cost-saving initiatives. Prepare and manage the logistics budget to align with company goals. Analyze financial data to optimize logistics spending. 6. Team Leadership & Vendor Management Lead and train logistics staff to improve efficiency and performance. Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations. Conduct performance evaluations and negotiate vendor contracts.
