The Legal Officer for a retail store is responsible for managing the store's legal and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, and handling legal matters related to operations. This includes managing contracts, resolving disputes, ensuring compliance with labor and consumer protection laws, and providing legal advice to management. The Legal Officer acts as a liaison between the store and external legal counsel when necessary. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Law (LLB). A Masters degree (LLM) or specialization in corporate, labor, or retail law is a plus. Experience: 24 years of legal experience, preferably in the retail, corporate, or commercial sector. Skills: Strong knowledge of retail regulations, consumer protection laws, labor laws, and contract law. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to draft, review, and interpret legal documents. Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
