Job Description
1. Job Purpose This role would suit an integrated designer looking to continue exploring and developing their skills across different mediums and new technology. Perfect for an experienced midweight looking to step up into a lead role or experienced senior looking to run creative multimedia projects from brief to completion with an eye on awards. This is a learning design role so were looking for a creative with a background in various media print, digital and motion, and with expert visual communication skills to create the best learning outcome for our users. The Design Lead role will support the Design Product Owner with the creative direction of OSBs digital learning content, ensuring we think about the user first as we modernise our approach to skills within the business. The Design Lead will create visually engaging and user centric digital learning modules, ensuring consistency, innovation and alignment with business goals. The role holder will combine a variety of skills like graphic design, UX & UI, motion graphics, illustration & infographic design, layout design and iconography across multimedia to enhance the learner experience across various platforms. The Design Lead will help mentor other members of the design team and participate in cross functional squads using agile learning practices. The Design team will collaborate with the PT & Skills Tech & Insight team to leverage Learning Insight to optimise learning solutions and demonstrate the impact on the Groups business priorities. The Design Lead will leverage industry best practice to deliver modern learning practices and content in OSB Group Reporting to the Design Product Owner, the role holder will play a critical role in delivering OSB Groups Learning & Skill Strategy. The Learning & Skills team plays a pivotal role in delivering OSB Groups priority to be future -fit for banking. OSB Group has embarked on significant technology Modernisation programme, which gives the organisation an exciting opportunity to transform its people eco -system. Core Responsibilities Execute OSBs design strategy to enhance learning engagement and retention Creative ideation and solutions for varying media projects with an aim of user immersion Collaborate with the Learning teams, People Function and Business Function SMEs to meet stakeholder requirements Develop infographics, illustrations, layouts, e-learning visuals, animations, videos and interactive content, maintaining standards and quality Produce high quality design output across various formats for print & digital Explore, innovate and implement new tools and approaches, including the use of AI and VR, to improve digital experiences Conduct UX processes to gain insight of user experience, using that knowledge to develop and improve output Maintain consistency across all design assets, ensuring accessibility, UX best practices and design principles Collaborate with technology teams, including the People Transformation & Skills Technology & Insight team, to enhance UX/UI d esign in all content and on OSBs Learning Management System Take a systems thinking approach designing learning journeys with consideration of all touch points during the colleagues end to end experience Participate in agile ceremonies to help the Product Owners maintain visibility of flow, work in progress and blockers Expolre data to regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training content and format to track their performance against desired outcomes , and deploy a continuous improvement culture Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies within learning Support the Groups Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist in identifying and implementing related initiatives to create a truly inclusive and equitable work environment Ensure that you and your team fully understand and comply with the organisations Risk Management Policies and Data Governance Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day-to-day work that you treat data as an important corporate asset which must be protected and managed 3. Experience Requirements 5+ years experience as an integrated designer working within motion graphics, print & digital design Good experience using UX/UI techniques & principles including web design and accessibility standards Experience of running multiple projects and mentoring/leading junior members Experience of delivering user outcomes and impacting user engagement Experience in Articulate 360 (Storyline) is desired but not essential Experience with SCORM, xAPI, working with an LMS, HTML/CSS is desired but not essential,
