About Bharat Atomic

Job Description

You will be contributing to the development of India's first commercial Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) right from the beginning. The project involves designing electron optics, high-voltage systems, precision mechanics, and real-time control software. If you are passionate about translating first-principles physics into a manufacturable instrument, this opportunity is for you. Your responsibilities will include designing a FEG-ready UHV envelope with specific dimensions and bake requirements to achieve a base pressure suitable for future upgrades. You will also be tasked with delivering a 5-axis stage with precise travel measurements and repeatability, along with achieving stringent vibration and thermal stability targets. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing the assembly, integration, and test (AIT) playbook for the initial three prototypes. The ideal candidate for this role would have at least 8 years of experience in precision mechanical design, preferably in UHV or semiconductor capital equipment. Proficiency in SolidWorks / NX and experience in FEA for structural, thermal, and modal analysis are essential. Additionally, hands-on experience with interferometers, piezo actuators, and clean-room assembly would be beneficial. To apply for this position, please share the most challenging technical problem you have solved and explain why the mission of Bharat Atomic resonates with you. Don't forget to include your CV and Portfolio for consideration.,
