Job Description
The Lab Assistant I (CPT I) at ENL Laboratory is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for laboratory testing, performing venipuncture and capillary blood draws. The position requires the ability to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills are essential, along with knowledge of chemical hygiene protocols and handling requirements of biohazard materials. The ideal candidate should be familiar with universal precautions and blood drawing safety devices, possessing strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. A Phlebotomy Certificate CPT I issued by the California Department of Public Health is a minimum requirement. Desired qualifications for the role include completion of college science courses and previous laboratory experience. The successful candidate will be expected to fulfill all essential functions of the position efficiently.
