As a Full-Time Interpreter for the Karen (S'gaw) language, you will be an essential part of our language services team in India. Your role will involve facilitating effective communication between individuals and organizations that speak Karen (S'gaw) and English, bridging the gap across language and cultural differences. Your key responsibilities will include accurately interpreting spoken communication between Karen (S'gaw) and English, ensuring clarity, neutrality, and cultural appropriateness in interpretation. You will be expected to adhere to confidentiality protocols, maintain ethical standards, and utilize digital tools for remote interpretation such as Zoom and phone applications. Flexibility is crucial for this role as you will be required to work in rotational shifts, including evenings and weekends based on operational needs. Fluency in both Karen (S'gaw) and English is a must, along with strong listening and communication skills. Previous experience in interpreting is preferred, and familiarity with remote tools and shift-based schedules will be advantageous.
