Job Title: Junior Fashion Designer

Experience: 0-3 years

Job Summary:

We're seeking a creative and passionate Junior Fashion Designer to join our team at Amani. As a Junior Fashion Designer, you'll play a key role in creating innovative and stylish designs that showcase our brand's aesthetic. You'll work closely with our design team to develop new collections, from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fashion Illustration: Create manual and digital fashion illustrations that showcase design concepts and ideas.

- Creative Pattern Making: Develop creative patterns for garments, considering factors like fabric, texture, and silhouette.

- Garment and Silhouette Construction: Design and construct garments with attention to detail, ensuring high-quality finishes.

- Surface Embellishment and Embroidery: Apply surface embellishments and embroidery techniques to enhance garment designs.

- Fabric Dying and Printing: Experiment with fabric dying and printing techniques to create unique textures and patterns.

- Print Making: Design and create prints for fabrics, considering factors like repeat patterns and colorways.

- Photography: Collaborate with photographers to capture high-quality images of designs for marketing and promotional purposes.

Requirements:

- 0-3 years of experience in fashion design or a related field

- NIFT Certified

- Strong portfolio showcasing fashion design skills and creativity

- Proficiency in fashion illustration, both manual and digital

- Experience with pattern making, garment construction, and surface embellishment

- Knowledge of fabric dying, printing, and print making techniques

- Basic understanding of photography and lighting

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work under deadlines and take feedback

Nice to Have:

- Experience with design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

- Familiarity with industry-standard design and production processes and knowledge on standard size charts
