Job Title: CAD Designer (Z brush) Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra Job Type: Full-Time ONLY MALE CANDIDATES PREFERRED Job Summary: As a CAD Designer, the candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and designs of jewellery pieces using CAD software. You will collaborate closely with our design team, gemologists, and production staff to transform concepts into high-quality, manufacturable jewellery designs. Your ability to combine artistic flair with technical expertise will help us push the boundaries of jewellery design and deliver extraordinary products to our customers. Key Responsibilities: Design Creation: Develop 3D models and technical drawings for custom and production jewellery pieces, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and more, using CAD software (Z brush). Collaborate with Designers: Work closely with the design team to understand the artistic direction and requirements of each jewellery piece and translate these ideas into accurate CAD designs. Prototyping & Refinement: Assist in the creation of prototypes, adjusting designs to ensure they are manufacturable, functional, and aligned with client specifications. Manufacturing Coordination: Ensure that designs are optimized for production by understanding manufacturing processes, such as casting, engraving, and setting stones, and making necessary adjustments to designs. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed design specifications, assembly instructions, and CAD files for production teams and clients. Client Collaboration: Incorporate feedback from clients and team members into design revisions, ensuring the final product meets aesthetic and technical requirements. Quality Control: Review and check designs for any issues or defects that could affect the manufacturing process and ensure all designs meet industry standards for quality. Trend Awareness: Stay updated with current jewellery design trends, technologies, and innovations, incorporating new ideas into your designs. Qualifications & Skills: Education: A degree or diploma in Jewellery Design, Industrial Design or a related field. Experience: 2-4 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in the jewellery industry. CAD Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD software - Z Brush Technical Skills: Understanding of the jewellery manufacturing process, including casting, stone setting, and metalworking. Creativity: A strong creative eye with an understanding of jewellery design aesthetics, proportions, and trends. Attention to Detail: Ability to create accurate, precise, and detailed CAD models and technical drawings. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot design challenges and adapt designs for manufacturability. Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with other designers, production teams, and clients. Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing CAD jewellery designs and the ability to present your work clearly and professionally. Preferred Skills: Experience in 3D printing or rapid prototyping for jewellery design. Knowledge of gem setting techniques and stone types. Experience with rendering software for high-quality presentations.
