The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IT hardware setup, network configuration, and troubleshooting, along with a strong understanding of various software and operating systems. Responsibilities: Network Setup & Management: Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connections. Ensure network security and optimal connectivity across all systems. Hardware Installation & Maintenance: Oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, printers, servers, and other related hardware. Perform regular hardware upgrades and repairs as needed. Troubleshooting: Provide troubleshooting support for hardware and network-related issues, both remotely and on-site, ensuring minimal downtime. System Backups & Data Security: Ensure regular backups of critical data and maintain strong data security protocols. Implement firewalls and antivirus solutions to protect sensitive information. Support for End-Users: Offer technical support to school staff, teachers, and students related to hardware, software, and networking issues. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, configurations, licenses, and network setups. Prepare regular reports on system performance and issues. Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team and external vendors for equipment upgrades, repairs, or troubleshooting. Training: Provide basic training to staff and students on the proper use of IT systems and software, ensuring efficient use of resources. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT hardware and networking. Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and experience with routers, switches, and firewalls. Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software (Windows, macOS, Linux). Experience with network security best practices, including VPN, antivirus, and firewall management. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
