Job Description

Key Responsibilities:1. IT Infrastructure Management Maintain and manage the school's IT infrastructure, including computers, servers, networking devices, and software applications. Ensure the smooth functioning of internet services, Wi-Fi networks, and LAN connectivity. Monitor and maintain hardware (printers, projectors, smart boards, biometric devices, CCTV, etc.). Regularly update and upgrade software and hardware as required. Coordinate with vendors for IT equipment procurement, repairs, and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts). 2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting Provide IT support to teachers, students, and administrative staff for hardware and software-related issues. Conduct routine checks and troubleshooting of IT equipment in classrooms and labs. Ensure quick resolution of technical problems to minimize disruption in teaching and administrative activities. 3. Data Security & Backup Implement security measures to protect school data from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and malware. Manage user accounts, passwords, and access control policies. Schedule regular backups of important school data to prevent data loss. Ensure compliance with data protection policies. 4. Website & Online Platforms Management Maintain and update the school website with relevant content. Oversee and support Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online teaching platforms. Assist in managing online admissions, student databases, and examination portals. 5. Coordination & Training Train teachers and staff on the usage of IT resources, smart classrooms, and new software. Guide students in using technology for learning purposes. Work closely with the administration to implement IT policies and digital initiatives. 6. School Communication & IT Integration Manage email accounts and internal communication systems for staff and students. Support the IT needs for online exams, video conferencing, and virtual events. 7. Compliance & Reporting Ensure IT compliance with educational board guidelines and cyber safety regulations. Maintain IT asset inventory and generate reports for management. Document IT-related issues and resolutions for future reference. Robotics knowledge will be an additional point.
