Job Description
As the Backup Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring daily backup operations to ensure data integrity and availability. Your duties will include performing regular system backups and recovery procedures, ensuring the successful backup of all required file systems and data. You will also be required to test backup strategies, oversee disaster recovery exercises, and maintain and update disaster recovery plans and procedures. In case of any backup and recovery issues, you will be expected to resolve them in a timely manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and providing reports for backup and storage environments, as well as maintaining and updating documentation for backup environments. In the System Monitoring and Maintenance aspect of the role, you will monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure that all systems are fully recoverable. You will also perform problem management and incident correlation on recurring issues, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards. Regular audits of backup systems and processes will be conducted under your supervision. Collaboration and Support are key components of this role, where you will coordinate with IT teams to ensure compatibility between systems and backups. You will provide support for security incidents and service requests related to backup management and act as an escalation point for all backup issues. It will also be essential for you to stay updated with the latest backup and recovery technologies and trends. This is a Full-time position with benefits including health insurance, paid sick time, and Provident Fund.
