Job Description

As a Backup Management specialist, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring daily backup operations to uphold data integrity and availability. Your duties will include performing regular system backups and recovery procedures, ensuring successful backup of all required file systems and data. You will test backup strategies, oversee disaster recovery exercises, and maintain updated disaster recovery plans and procedures. Should any backup and recovery issues arise, you will promptly resolve them. Additionally, you will create reports on backup and storage environments, as well as maintain documentation for backup systems. In the realm of System Monitoring and Maintenance, you will be tasked with monitoring backup jobs, troubleshooting issues, and guaranteeing the full recoverability of all systems. You will engage in problem management, incident correlation, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards. Regular audits of backup systems and processes will be conducted to maintain system integrity. Your role will also involve Collaboration and Support, wherein you will coordinate with IT teams to ensure system and backup compatibility. Providing support for security incidents and service requests related to backup management will be part of your responsibilities. You will serve as an escalation point for all backup issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous system functionality.
