Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled POS and Software Installation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining POS systems and related software. They will also be involved in demoing hardware to clients, providing training, performing installations, and offering technical support. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to manage technical tasks independently.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Configuration: Install and configure POS systems, software, and related hardware at client locations.
- Demoing Hardware/Software: Conduct hardware and software demos for prospective clients, explaining features and benefits.
- Client Support: Provide training to clients on using POS systems and software. Offer post-installation support and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and solve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their queries and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
- Upgrades and Maintenance: Perform system upgrades and routine maintenance to ensure the smooth functioning of installed systems.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of installations, configurations, and any support provided to clients.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the sales, technical, and support teams to ensure client satisfaction and resolve any complex technical issues.
- Requirements:Proven experience in POS or software installation and support.
- Knowledge of networking, hardware installation, and software troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to provide training and technical demos to clients.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Willingness to travel to client sites for installations and support.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
- Experience with Windows/Linux OS environments is a plus.
