Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Import Manager cum CHA (Metal SCRAP) Specializing in documentation , importing, and procurement of ferrous metal scrap, primarily steel and iron. Below are the details of this position: Job Summary: The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of various documentation, tax regulations and global markets, along with strong negotiation skills and experience managing international trade logistics. Key Responsibilities: Procure ferrous scrap (steel, iron) from international markets. Manage import logistics, documentation, and customs clearance. Negotiate deals with Local freight forwarders competitive pricing and quality for transportation. Ensure compliance with international trade laws and environmental standards. Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and logistics partners. Must know the taxes regulations and SIMS. Inspect shipment on arrival for quantity, quality and price fluctuations. Submit bill of entry. Qualifications: Proven experience in import process (ferrous metals). Knowledge of global Logistics and documentation laws. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Familiarity with import/export regulations and logistics.
