Job Description

Hospital cleaners maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include sanitizing rooms, disposing of medical waste, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities:

    Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the hospital
    Collect and dispose of trash and hazardous materials
    Restock supplies in patient rooms and throughout the hospital
    Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor equipment issues
    Follow established safety protocols, including wearing protective gear and using caution around medical equipment
    Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel
    Attend training sessions to learn proper cleaning techniques and stay up-to-date on safety procedures
    Provide excellent customer service by responding to patient and staff requests in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

    Physical fitness and stamina to stand, walk, kneel and bend for long hours
    Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment
    Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
    Attention to detail in cleaning and sanitizing hospital rooms and equipment
    Effective communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
    Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
    Ability to work independently or in a team environment
    Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping in a healthcare setting is preferred
