Job Description
Responsible for leading and managing the entire IT department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all technology systems that support patient care, administration, and research. This includes overseeing IT infrastructure, applications, data management, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Developing and executing the hospital's IT strategy, aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals and ensuring alignment with business needs. Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the maintenance, security, and performance of the hospital's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage. Application Management: Managing the implementation, support, and maintenance of clinical and administrative software applications, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Data Management and Security: Ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and security of patient data and other sensitive information, adhering to HIPAA and other relevant regulations. Project Management: Leading and managing IT projects, including system upgrades, new technology implementations, and software development initiatives. Budget Management: Developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and efficient procurement of technology. Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring the IT staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Vendor Management: Managing relationships with IT vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of quality services. Compliance: Ensuring that all IT systems and processes comply with relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other data privacy laws. Disaster Recovery: Developing and implementing disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and data protection in the event of a disruption.
