Job Summary: The Printer Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of printers and related equipment. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Setup: Install and configure printers, copiers, and multifunction devices at customer sites. Ensure proper network connectivity and software integration. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on printing equipment. Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues. Replace faulty components and parts as needed. Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers. Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues efficiently. Offer guidance on printer usage, care, and best practices. Customer Service: Maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering outstanding service. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare and submit service reports and documentation. Training and Development: Stay updated on the latest printing technologies and industry trends. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills. Qualifications: Education: Diploma or Degree or any Computer related certification. Experience: Proven experience as a Printer Engineer or in a similar technical role. Hands-on experience with a variety of printers, copiers, and multi-function devices. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of printer hardware and software. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues. Familiarity with networking and printer connectivity. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, OEM certifications) are a plus.
