Job Description
Job Title: Analyst (Sustainability / Green Building) Job Summary: The Green Building Certification Consultant is responsible for guiding clients through the process of obtaining green building certifications. This role involves assessing building designs, managing the certification process, and promoting environmentally sustainable construction practices. The Consultant works closely with clients, architects, and construction teams to ensure compliance with green building standards and regulations. Responsibilities: Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand project goals and sustainability objectives. Guide clients through the certification process, from documentation to compliance verification. Evaluate building designs to identify opportunities for sustainable improvements. Provide recommendations for enhancing environmental performance in construction projects. Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address concerns and ensure compliance. Conduct on-site visits to assess and verify the implementation of green building practices during construction. Use tools and software to analyze energy usage, water consumption, and waste management. Collaborate with certification bodies and regulatory authorities to ensure successful certification. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors degree in environmental science, architecture, engineering, or related field. Masters degree preferred. Professional certification in green building (e.g., IGBC LEED AP, BREEAM Assessor) is advantageous. Previous experience in green building certification, sustainable design, or a related field. Strong analytical skills to assess and recommend sustainable solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement. Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability trends.
