Job Description
As a Gastroenterologist based in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, India, you will be expected to have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Gastroenterology. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating patients with various gastrointestinal conditions such as IBS, acid reflux, Crohn's disease, and liver diseases. You will be responsible for performing endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, gastroscopies, and biopsies. Additionally, patient consultation, evaluation of symptoms, and prescription of appropriate treatments or diagnostic procedures will be part of your daily tasks. You will need to maintain accurate and updated patient medical records, collaborate with other specialists for comprehensive patient care, and provide follow-up care and treatment adjustments as required. Patient education on gastrointestinal health, preventive measures, lifestyle changes, and treatments will also be a key aspect of your role. Staying updated with the latest research, treatments, and advancements in Gastroenterology is essential. Required skills for this role include strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills in Gastroenterology, proficiency in performing gastrointestinal endoscopies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage a high volume of patients while maintaining quality care, knowledge of medical software for electronic record-keeping, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. To qualify for this position, you must have an MBBS from a recognized institution, MD/DNB in Gastroenterology (or equivalent), a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing Gastroenterologist, and a valid medical license to practice in India.
