The Pattern and Quality Incharge is responsible for managing and overseeing the pattern-making process and ensuring the quality of the final products. This role involves collaborating with the product development team, production team, and quality control team to ensure that patterns are accurately developed, and products meet established quality standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for achieving excellence in pattern development and quality control. Pattern Development: -Create and review patterns for accuracy and consistency, ensuring they align with design specifications. -Collaborate with cutting master and product development team to understand design requirements. -Optimize patterns for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness. -Ensure accurate pattern scaling for different sizes. -Manage the distribution of patterns to relevant teams or departments. -Establish and maintain an organized system for storing and cataloging patterns. -Identify and rectify pattern-related discrepancies or errors. New Sample Checking and Specification Documentation: -Thoroughly inspect new samples against established specifications. -Accurately enter sample specifications into an Excel file or database. -Ensure that all sample details, including measurements, materials and trims details are recorded accurately. Production Sample Checking: -Conduct comprehensive assessments of pre-production samples to verify design, quality compliance and measurements. -Collaborate with design and production teams to address any pre-production sample issues promptly. -Inspect and assess product samples for quality and adherence to specifications. -Conduct fit tests on dress form to evaluate the fit and measurements of garments. Document results to inform pattern adjustments and quality improvements. Quality Assurance: -Coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate implementation of patterns during manufacturing. -Conduct and participate in quality checking periodically to assess the quality standards of the final production. -Collaborate with production managers, and product development team to resolve pattern and quality-related issues. Training and Development: -Train and mentor new tailors. -Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and tools related to pattern making and quality assurance. -Ensure that products meet industry-specific and company quality standards. -Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements. Requirements: --Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field. -8 to 10 years of proven experience in pattern making and quality control within the fashion industry. -Possess fundamental sewing and cutting skills. -Strong attention to detail and quality. -Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. -Knowledge of garment construction techniques. -Knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices. -Proficiency in reading and writing in both English and Hindi to facilitate effective communication within diverse teams. -Translate specifications and communicate quality standards in both languages as necessary.
