Job Description
As the Fourth Engineer, you will report directly to the Chief Engineer and assist in the efficient operation of all machinery, pumps, valves, and systems within the Engine Room while on watchkeeping duties. Collaborating with the Second Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing spare gear and repair lists as needed. Additionally, you will work under the guidance of the Second Engineer to maintain and repair machinery and equipment as directed by the Chief or Second Engineers. It is essential for you to have a thorough understanding of control piping systems, valves, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure the quick and safe restoration of essential services in case of an emergency. Your role also includes maintaining a safe work environment by being well-versed in the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.,
