Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect workplaces for adherence to fire safety and occupational health standards.

• Conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate safety measures.

• Ensure proper maintenance of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency lights, and other safety systems.

• Organize fire drills, evacuation procedures, and emergency response training sessions.

• Investigate and document accidents, incidents, or near-misses and recommend corrective actions.

• Develop and implement fire safety protocols and training manuals.

• Monitor compliance with local and international safety regulations and codes.

• Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.

• Liaise with local fire departments, regulatory bodies, and emergency services.

• Recommend improvements in safety standards and procedures.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma/degree in fire and Safety Engineering or a relevant discipline.

• Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent (preferred).

• 2+ years of experience in industrial fire safety or occupational health and safety.

• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, HSE regulations, and emergency protocols.

• Excellent communication and training skills.

• Ability to stay calm and act quickly during emergencies.

• Proficient in writing reports and maintaining documentation.

Working Conditions:

• May require travel between multiple sites.

• Must be available for on-call duty in case of emergency.

• Work may involve exposure to hazardous environments.
