The Field Auditor specializing in Inventory Control is responsible for conducting on-site audits to verify physical stock, assess damaged stock, and ensure effective inventory management practices. This role involves traveling to various locations, conducting thorough inspections, and providing recommendations to optimize inventory control processes. Responsibilities include performing physical verification of stock levels at designated locations to ensure accuracy and completeness, inspecting inventory storage areas to assess organization, cleanliness, and adherence to inventory management procedures, identifying discrepancies between physical stock counts and recorded inventory levels, investigating root causes, assessing the condition of stock items, identifying damaged or expired goods, and reporting findings to management. Additionally, reviewing inventory documentation such as purchase orders, receipts, and shipping records to verify transactions and reconcile discrepancies, collaborating with warehouse and logistics personnel to improve inventory accuracy, prevent stockouts or overstock situations, evaluating inventory control processes and procedures, recommending enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, conducting spot checks and random audits to monitor inventory movements and ensure adherence to established protocols, and documenting audit findings, observations, and recommendations in detailed reports and presentations for management review.
