Job Description
- Perform fiber optic splicing (core alignment or fusion splicing) and termination.
- Install, test, and maintain fiber optic networks in residential and commercial areas.
- Read and interpret fiber network diagrams and blueprints.
- Handle Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR), Power Meter, and other fiber testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in fiber optic networks.
- Install and configure customer-premises equipment (CPE), such as ONU, routers, and modems.
- Ensure timely completion of service calls, repairs, and new installations.
- Maintain proper documentation of work performed including splicing records and test results.
