Introduction: We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual to join our school as a Faculty Member for our Tinkering and Innovation Labs. The role involves guiding and mentoring students through hands-on projects, encouraging creativity, innovation, and problem-solving in a collaborative environment. This is a unique opportunity to foster a culture of experimentation, design thinking, and technological literacy in young minds. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development and Implementation: Develop and deliver an engaging curriculum that fosters creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning through the Tinkering and Innovation Labs. Facilitation of Projects: Guide students in working on various projects, such as robotics, electronics, 3D printing, coding, and design challenges. Promoting Creativity: Encourage students to explore diverse ideas and concepts, helping them translate their ideas into tangible solutions. Mentoring and Collaboration: Serve as a mentor to students, providing guidance, support, and inspiration to help them succeed in their projects. Encourage teamwork and collaboration. Hands-on Learning: Organize and conduct workshops, experiments, and activities that promote practical learning experiences. Resource Management: Ensure the lab is properly equipped with necessary tools, materials, and technology for student projects. Keep track of inventory and ensure safety guidelines are followed. Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain records of students" work and achievements. Innovation Promotion: Stay up to date with the latest trends in innovation, technology, and tinkering. Introduce new tools, techniques, and ideas to keep the lab environment exciting and forward-thinking. Collaboration with Staff and Parents: Work closely with teachers and school staff to integrate tinkering and innovation concepts across different subject areas. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and projects. Qualifications: A degree in Engineering, Technology, Design, or related fields. Certification in Tinkering, Robotics, or related areas (optional but preferred). Proven experience in working with young learners, preferably in a school or educational setting. Hands-on experience with tools, technologies, and platforms used in tinkering labs (e.g., Arduino, 3D printing, basic coding, electronics). Familiarity with design thinking principles, project-based learning, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education. Ability to guide students through problem-solving processes and foster a creative and collaborative learning environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner. Desirable Skills: Experience in managing innovation or makerspace labs. Knowledge of current trends in educational technology, robotics, and digital fabrication. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Passion for nurturing creativity and critical thinking in young students.,
