As a Fabric Sourcing Assistant, your primary responsibility will involve visiting local markets and vendors to source fabric samples according to specified requirements. You will be tasked with collecting fabric swatches, trims, and accessories from various suppliers, as well as assisting the sourcing team in exploring new suppliers and potential alternatives for the fabrics needed. Your role will also include ensuring the timely delivery of all sourced materials to the production unit or relevant department. It will be essential to keep a detailed log of your market visits, samples collected, deliveries made, and expenses incurred during the sourcing process. Collaboration with the purchase and design teams is crucial to understand the technical fabric needs and coordinate effectively. You will be expected to support quality checks by providing samples to the QC team when necessary and handle urgent pickups or deliveries of fabrics and trims as directed by the team. Maintaining positive and professional relationships with vendors and market representatives is key to your success in this role. This position is full-time and requires in-person work at the designated location.
