Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Export-Import Clearance Executive to manage the documentation and legal compliance for international shipments. The ideal candidate will coordinate with customs, freight forwarders, transporters, and internal departments to ensure timely and smooth import-export clearance processes. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate all export and import clearance processes with relevant authorities including customs, port, and shipping lines. Prepare, verify, and manage shipping and customs documentation such as Bill of Lading, Packing List, Commercial Invoice, Shipping Bill, Bill of Entry, etc. Ensure timely filing of shipping and customs documentation in compliance with applicable regulations. Liaise with freight forwarders, CHA (Custom House Agents), transporters, and internal departments to facilitate timely movement of goods. Monitor clearance status and track consignments to ensure timely delivery. Keep up to date with changes in customs regulations, trade compliance, and documentation requirements. Handle customs inspections, examination notices, and resolve any delays or discrepancies. Ensure correct HS codes, duties, and taxes are applied for all shipments. Maintain detailed records and reports of all imports and exports. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Commerce, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in export-import clearance or a similar logistics role. Knowledge of customs regulations, INCOTERMS, and international trade procedures. Experience with DGFT procedures and online portals (ICEGATE, EDI systems, etc.). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus. Preferred Skills: Certification in Export-Import Management or International Trade. Familiarity with bonded warehousing and duty drawback processes. Multilingual abilities (especially Hindi and English).
