Job Title: Purchase Engineer / Estimation Engineer Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Purchase Engineer / Estimation Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the real estate sector. This role is crucial for managing procurement processes and ensuring accurate project cost estimations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Purchase Engineer: 1. Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for construction projects. Ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality standards. 2. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to secure the best terms and conditions. 3. Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement costs to stay within project budgets. Conduct cost analyses and seek cost-saving opportunities. 4. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of purchased materials and equipment. Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the project team to ensure availability. 5. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Estimation Engineer: 1. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural plans, specifications, and project requirements. 2. Bid Preparation: Analyze project documents and prepare comprehensive bid proposals. Work closely with project managers and contractors to gather necessary information. 3. Quantity Takeoff: Perform quantity takeoffs for materials and labor. Ensure that estimates reflect the actual requirements of the project. 4. Budgeting: Develop and maintain project budgets. Track costs and provide regular updates to the project management team. 5. Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry standards. Adjust estimates based on changing conditions. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or estimation roles within the real estate or construction industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement and estimation software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD, estimating tools). Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and market prices. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to accurately assess project costs and procurement needs. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to negotiate with vendors and collaborate effectively with project teams.
