Job Description

As a Post Graduate in Environmental Science with at least 10 years of experience in fields related to Water Shed Management, Water Resource Management, Water Harvesting, Grey Water Management, Water, and Sanitation, your responsibilities will include conducting environmental studies during the DEPR preparation and throughout the implementation process with appropriate environmental safeguards. Your role will involve analyzing both the quality and quantity of water, as well as developing strategies to maintain or improve water flow in streams and rivers. Additionally, you will be required to study the geology and hydrology of the springshed to comprehend recharge mechanisms, flow patterns, and identify potential threats to the sustainability of springs, such as land-use issues. Furthermore, you will play a crucial part in protecting and restoring recharge zones by implementing afforestation, soil conservation, and rainwater harvesting practices. Restoring degraded ecosystems within the springshed to enhance natural recharge and water retention will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. In addition to your technical duties, you will be expected to train local communities and stakeholders in sustainable springshed management practices to ensure the long-term health of the water resources.
