Job Description
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for installing and qualifying new process equipment, troubleshooting day-to-day manufacturing issues, and implementing system improvements to enhance throughput, yield, and product performance. Your role will require process or equipment engineering experience in thin-film deposition processes or thermal processing in the semiconductor/glass industry. You should have a demonstrated knowledge of PLC and Controls, Vision system knowledge, Statistical Data Analysis, Metrology, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, and various problem-solving methods. In addition, you must possess excellent problem-solving skills, proficiency in generating manufacturing documentation, understanding of manufacturing processes, and the capability to train operators, technicians, and new engineers. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for this role. To be considered for this position, you should hold an engineering degree in a technical discipline with at least 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of General Electronics, General Mechanical Systems, and Robust Engineering principles is desirable. As part of your responsibilities, you will develop, improve, and document solar module manufacturing processes, work on new process development, design experiments, and address production, equipment, and process issues. You will also be involved in equipment installation and qualification, data collection, communication with internal associates and suppliers, and continuous improvement activities. Physical requirements for this role include the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift objects, and wear personal protective equipment. You should have good vision, be able to comply with safety standards, and travel domestically and internationally as needed.
