Job Description
Key Responsibilities 1. Design and Development: Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, control, and protection systems, for the power plant. 2. System Studies: Conduct electrical system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash studies, to ensure safe and efficient operation. 3. Equipment Selection: Select and specify electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and cables, in accordance with industry standards and project requirements. 4. Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards. 5. Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve system faults and issues. 6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, civil, and control systems engineers, to ensure integrated design and operation. 7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, including those related to safety, environmental impact, and energy efficiency. 8. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain electrical design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
