Job Description
- Education Counselor Responsibilities & DutiesProvide one-on-one counseling to students regarding academic, career, and personal issues.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Assist students in course selection and scheduling to meet graduation requirements.
- Coordinate with teachers and school administrators to monitor and support student progress.
- Facilitate peer counseling and mentoring programs to encourage student engagement and support.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Stay current with educational standards, trends, and best practices to provide high-quality counseling services.
- Education Counselor Qualifications & Skills degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Institutions admissions processes and requirements.
- Competence in using counseling management software and other technological tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 Months of experience in a counseling or educational role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with students, families, and staff.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of educational laws, policies, and procedures.
