The successful candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiograms to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. This role requires expertise in using echocardiography equipment, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Echocardiography Perform echocardiograms (2D, Doppler, and color flow mapping) on patients to assess heart function and structure. Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely. Follow established protocols and procedures to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Patient Care Prepare patients for echocardiography procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images. Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any signs of distress. Image Analysis and Reporting Analyze echocardiographic data and provide preliminary findings to cardiologists. Ensure accurate documentation and labeling of images for interpretation. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Quality Assurance and Improvement Adhere to quality control standards and participate in quality assurance activities. Stay updated with the latest advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques. Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain professional competence.
