Job Description

We are looking for a Desktop Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting desktop computing environments. This includes installing and configuring hardware/software, assisting end-users, and collaborating with the broader IT team to ensure smooth system operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software systems.

Provide timely technical support to end-users for desktop-related issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network problems.

Manage desktop-related deployments, updates, patches, and security configurations.

Handle user account/email ID creation and management.

Maintain IT asset records and inventory management.

Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and procedures.

Create and update documentation for desktop support processes.

Monitor desktop performance and suggest areas for improvement.

Assist in IT infrastructure or desktop-related projects as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 1 year of experience in desktop or technical support.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and Office suite.

Experience with desktop imaging and deployment tools (SCCM, MDT preferred).

Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows domain environment.

Good understanding of hardware components and troubleshooting.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
