Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our Hydraulic Cylinder Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the complete design lifecycle of hydraulic cylindersfrom concept to manufacturing handoverensuring performance, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and customer requirements are met. Growth Opportunities: Design Engineers can be promoted into roles such as Senior Design Engineer, Design Lead, NPD Manager, or Product Engineering Manager based on performance and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop hydraulic cylinders (tie rod, welded, telescopic, etc.) using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent). Prepare detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and Bill of Materials (BOM). Select appropriate materials, seals, and design parameters based on application requirements and standards (ISO, SAE, etc.). Perform strength and tolerance calculations (including buckling, pressure rating, and fatigue life). Collaborate with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Marketing teams to ensure manufacturability, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines. Provide technical support to the sales team during RFQs and customer discussions. Maintain design data, revision control, and documentation as per company systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 35 years of experience in hydraulic cylinder design or similar fluid power components. Proficiency in 3D software (SolidWorks preferred) and familiarity with PDM systems. Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, seals, surface finishes, and tolerances.
