Job Description

As a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer with expertise in sheet metal and auto components, you will join our dynamic engineering team. Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of design principles, material selection, and manufacturing processes, you will deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions for the automotive sector. Your role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing sheet metal components and assemblies used in automotive applications, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and adhere to stringent safety and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include leading the design and development of sheet metal components and assemblies for automotive applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure practical, cost-efficient, and manufacturable designs, using CAD software to create detailed models and drawings, performing engineering analysis to validate designs, overseeing prototype development and testing, providing technical leadership and mentorship, optimizing designs for manufacturability, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, a minimum of [X] years of experience in design engineering focusing on sheet metal components and automotive parts, proficiency in CAD software, knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, understanding of automotive component design, and expertise in GD&T and DFM.
