Database Analyst JOB TITLE: Database Analyst Company: Hy-Line Layers Pvt Ltd., LOCATION: Udumalpet DEPT: Global Technical Services REPORTS TO: Global Technical Services Manager Statement of Purpose: The Database Analyst is responsible for inputting data and making changes to existing figures in digital databases such as Poultry Suite. The duties include inputting data from paper documents into digital spreadsheets, updating order status for customers and double-checking their work to make sure the data was inputted correctly. This role requires interaction with team members located domestically and internationally to create and maintain accurate information. The Database Analyst position will require strong attention to detail, a high level of quality, strong problem solving skills, dependability and demonstrated priority and time management skills. Must have MS Office products, specifically Excel, and be proficient working with MS Windows and multiple screens. The role will be remotely based. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Extract data from uploading system (Cognito reports). Create new templates to extract data from different reports to Poultry Suite. Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database. Compile, sort, and process data from various sources, including documents, forms, and electronic files, such as excel, PDF, TXT. Verify the accuracy and completeness of the data. Enter and update data accurately and efficiently into designated databases. Identify and correct any discrepancies or errors in data entries, ensuring data integrity and consistency Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records. Be able to calculate basic poultry KPIs, such as HD%, accumulated mortality and egg numbers. Type in data quickly and efficiently. Organize and maintain digital filing systems for easy retrieval and reference of data. Perform data cleansing activities to eliminate duplications and ensure data accuracy. Follow established data entry procedures and guidelines to maintain high standards of data quality. Adhere to confidentiality, security protocols and agreements to protect sensitive information. Collaborate with team members to address data-related issues, provide support, and share best practices. Provide timely and accurate reports and summaries based on the analyzed data as required. Create and send to key accounts periodic performance reports from VisionEgg. Other duties as assigned. COMPETENCY and KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS B.Sc/M.Sc Statistics; additional certifications or courses in data entry or related fields are a plus. Minimum 2 years of database systems experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams. Proficient typing skills with a high level of accuracy and speed. Excellent attention to detail, ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in data. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to maintain integrity with confidential information. Ability to multi-task and resolve technical issues efficiently. Must be detail oriented, proactive and self-motivated.
