Job Description

The Database Administrator role involves ensuring adequate support and maintenance for all databases within the organization to ensure the smooth operation of associated systems. Job Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - Minimum of 4 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL databases, Oracle, or MYSQL - Advanced mathematical understanding - Knowledge of Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating system environments Job Functions: - Administer production, staging, test, and development database environments - Support System Administrator(s) in designing, developing, and administering system applications utilizing databases, including SQL server administration in stand-alone and clustered server environments - Responsible for backup and recovery, performance tuning, database maintenance, security, fault tolerance, scalability, disaster recovery planning, service pack upgrades, and release upgrades - Available during production rollouts and perform necessary tasks - Design and assist developers with database schema changes, new or dropped tables, stored procedures, indexes, and other database objects - Lead cooperative efforts on database architecture changes, server deployments, platform transitions, security changes, and other architectural or platform changes - Design and develop significant database schema changes - Ensure data integrity of the database - Provide database queries and create tables/schemas to support business reporting.,
