Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to maintain and optimize our on-premises data warehouse environment. This role involves day-to-day support of production systems, ownership of ETL pipelines, and delivery of automated operational reports. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in traditional data warehousing methodologies, SQL, and be comfortable working in Client facing environments.

1. ETL Development & Maintenance

Design, develop, and manage ETL processes using on-premises technologies (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, or equivalent).

Ensure data is extracted, transformed, and loaded accurately from multiple source systems.

2. Production Support & Troubleshooting

Address and resolve issues in production systems under time-critical conditions.

Monitor daily data loads and automated reporting processes to meet SLA requirements.

Provide root-cause analysis for operational failures and implement long-term solutions.

3. Database & Query Optimization

Develop and optimize T-SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure high performance and scalability.

Maintain and tune databases for optimal performance (e.g., indexing strategies, partitioning).

4. Operational Reporting

Oversee thousands of automated reports delivered daily to internal and external stakeholders.

Manage schedules, perform audits, and handle escalations to ensure timely and accurate report delivery.

5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., infrastructure, DevOps) to maintain system health and plan capacity.

6. Transition to Cloud (Future)
