Job Description
Job Summary The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the data curation team to ensure successful project execution, enhance team performance, and achieve departmental goals. This role involves guiding team members, fostering collaboration, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in all data curation activities. Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Provide direction, support, and mentorship to team members. Facilitate team meetings and promote a collaborative work environment. Performance Monitoring: Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between team members and upper management. Effectively communicate project updates and address team concerns. Training and Development: Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities to help team members grow their skills. Problem Solving: Proactively address any issues or challenges that arise within the team or during projects, employing effective problem-solving techniques. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, project status, and relevant metrics to management including billing details. Qualifications: Education: Masters degree in any field or science-related field is preferred. Experience: 3 to 4 years of experience in data curation or literature mining, with 1-2 year(s) in a leadership role preferred. Skills: Strong written communication skills, particularly in email correspondence. Strong leadership and team management abilities Ability to convey information clearly and professionally in written form.
