Job Description

We at D.B. Group America are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our RDC team based in Mumbai, supporting Ocean Import operations for the U.S. region. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end import shipments, ensuring clear communication and coordination with internal teams, overseas offices, and clients to facilitate smooth and timely execution. Job Responsibilities: Handle day-to-day ocean import operations for the U.S. trade lane Communicate effectively with origin offices, carriers, and internal teams Coordinate shipment milestones, documentation, and issue resolution Update and maintain shipment details in internal systems Respond promptly and professionally to customer and internal queries Ensure compliance with SOPs and client-specific requirements Support billing and documentation accuracy, ensuring timely handovers Assist in process improvement initiatives within the RDC team Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics preferred (Ocean Imports experience is a plus) Strong communication skills (written and verbal in English) Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Willingness to work late shifts aligned with U.S. operations Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and freight-related systems Team player with a problem-solving mindset Preferred: Prior experience supporting U.S. operations from an shared service set up. Understanding of shipping documentation like B/L, ISF, Arrival Notices, etc. Hands-on experience with CargoWise Graduate degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.,
