Job Description
Key Responsibilities: A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. Operating CT Scanners: Prepare and calibrate CT scanning equipment. Position patients accurately for scans. Administer contrast materials as needed. Operate the CT scanner to obtain high-quality images. Patient Care: Explain the CT scanning procedure to patients. Reassure patients and address their concerns. Ensure patient safety during the procedure. Image Evaluation and Documentation: Review and evaluate images for quality and clarity. Document patient information, procedure details, and results. Update and maintain patient medical records. Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain CT scanning equipment to ensure proper functioning. Clean and maintain the CT scan equipment. Other Duties: Interpret physician's instructions for radiologic scans. Collect patient medical history. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers. Stay current with advancements in CT scanning technology and techniques.
