Job Description

The role of Environment Projects Coordinator involves coordinating and executing various environment-related projects across India, such as tree plantation, water conservation, waste management, waste segregation, composting, mangrove conservation, and protection. By collaborating with multiple stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in driving these projects towards successful implementation. Your key responsibilities will include: - Understanding project objectives and deliverables to create execution plans under the guidance of the Project Manager. - Developing strong relationships with stakeholders like Municipal Corporation departments, Maharashtra Maritime Board, State Forest Department, Colleges, NGOs, and others. - Creating IEC materials to support educational activities on themes like beach conservation, marine pollution, waste management, and water conservation. - Mobilizing schools, colleges, and NGOs for active participation in project activities. - Encouraging youth to conduct awareness activities on environmental conservation. - Documenting project activities regularly and submitting status reports to donors. - Planning and conducting monitoring visits to project sites and updating stakeholders on project progress. - Collaborating with the social media team to share project updates. - Maintaining a tracker sheet for project updates and conducting various environmental activities like nature trails, cleanups, and awareness sessions. To be successful in this role, you should possess: - A Master's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related fields. - 2 to 4 years of experience in environmental projects, especially tree plantation initiatives. - Strong communication skills in English and Hindi (proficiency in Marathi is an advantage). - Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. - Knowledge of Afforestation, Miyawaki plantation, and Mangrove Restoration is beneficial. - Willingness to travel extensively for program implementation. - Experience in developing concept notes, proposals, budgets, and MOUs. The salary for this position ranges from INR 5 to 9 LPA, depending on qualifications, experience, and merit.
