Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bengali Cook who specializes in authentic Bengali cuisine, both veg and non-veg. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of traditional Bengali spices, cooking methods, and regional recipes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of Bengali dishes including:
  • Shorshe Ilish, Chingri Malai Curry, Kosha Mangsho, Paturi, Pulao, Begun Bhaja, etc.
  • Traditional sweets like Payesh, Chanar Dalna, Sandesh, and Mishti Doi (optional)
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and ensure ingredients are fresh and stocked.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner for dine-in and delivery orders.
  • Experiment with new dishes occasionally while keeping traditional flavors intact.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth operations.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bengali Cook in restaurants, home kitchens, or cloud kitchens.
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
  • Basic understanding of food cost, portion control, and kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of traditional Bengali cooking methods (steaming, mustard-based gravies, etc.).
  • Hygiene and cleanliness must be a top priority.


Preferred:

  • Experience in both veg and non-veg Bengali dishes.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and FSSAI food handling standards.
  • Ability to train or assist junior cooks or helpers.
