SHIFT TIMING 12pm-10pm
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Continental Chef to join our café kitchen team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of continental dishes, ensuring consistency, taste, and quality while maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes such as pasta, salads, grilled items, sandwiches, steaks, and egg-based dishes.
Assist in menu planning and recipe development for continental and fusion dishes.
Ensure portion control, plating, and presentation according to café standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
Monitor stock levels for continental ingredients and inform the management for ordering.
Adhere to food safety regulations (FSSAI) and hygiene standards.
Work closely with the service team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Train junior kitchen staff in continental cooking techniques when required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Continental Chef, Commis Chef, or similar role in a café, hotel, or restaurant.
Knowledge of continental cuisine techniques (grilling, sautéing, baking, pasta making, salad preparation).
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking appliances.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced café environment.
Strong sense of plating aesthetics and creativity.
Basic knowledge of inventory control and waste management.
Minimum qualification: Culinary diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
