Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Community Liaison Officer to act as the key link between the public, contractors, and project teams involved in Electrical Board (EB) rectification, metro utility work, and street lighting systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in public coordination and issue resolution related to electrical and civic infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities

  Serve as the primary point of contact between the community, project teams, and government authorities for all ongoing and upcoming rectification works.

  Handle Public Intimation by informing residents, shop owners, and stakeholders about scheduled and unscheduled service interruptions or repair works.

  Coordinate with local authorities and contractors for EB rectification work, ensuring timely updates and issue closure.

  Oversee and support the progress of Metro-related utility rectification activities, ensuring community concerns are addressed efficiently.

  Supervise Street light maintenance and rectification, including identifying faults, raising work orders, and confirming restoration.

  Record, track, and resolve grievances raised by the public, ensuring proper documentation and escalation if needed.

  Conduct field visits to monitor ongoing work, verify completion, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

  Assist in drafting and distributing circulars, notices, and community announcements as required.

  Maintain logs, progress reports, and community feedback for project documentation.

Requirements

  Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in public coordination, especially with EB/metro/street light infrastructure projects.

  Strong communication skills in Tamil and basic proficiency in English.

  Experience in dealing with municipal authorities, EB officials, and civic bodies.

  Working knowledge of rectification protocols, safety norms, and project documentation.

  Willingness to work on the field and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

  Ability to manage community relationships effectively and handle grievances tactfully.

Preferred Qualifications

  Master's degree in Social Work

  Experience in working with Smart City, metro rail, or public infrastructure projects.

  Basic knowledge of MS Office and reporting tools.
