Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Draftsman to support our engineering team in the preparation of accurate technical drawings, layouts, and documentation for infrastructure and site development works. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of civil and MEP coordination, particularly drainage systems, and will be capable of visiting sites to capture actual conditions and assist in installation supervision when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and understand construction drawings, site layouts, levels, and related civil documentation.
• Prepare detailed civil drawings including site plans, sections, and installation details.
• Size drainage/gutter systems and incorporate drain lines in MEP-coordinated drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to ensure integrated and clash-free layouts.
• Generate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on approved drawings and design specifications.
• Prepare cross-sections, detailed drawings for site installations, and civil infrastructure.
• Conduct site visits to gather actual measurements, assess as-built conditions, and verify feasibility of design implementation.
• Support supervision of on-site installation of drainage and related civil systems as required.
• Update drawings based on design changes, site conditions, or feedback from engineers and site supervisors.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control for all drawings and revisions.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Drafting (or equivalent technical qualification).

• Proven experience as a civil draftsman, preferably with MEP coordination exposure.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software (e.g., Civil 3D, Revit, or similar).
• Knowledge of drainage systems, civil infrastructure detailing, and BOQ preparation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to visit construction sites and work under field conditions when required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working with MEP design teams.

• Familiarity with local construction codes and drainage standards.
• Basic understanding of site installation practices and sequencing.
