IA Interior Architects, the only global architecture firm specializing in interior architecture, is seeking a full-time Job Captain to join the Retail Studio team. As a Job Captain, your primary responsibility will be to develop construction documents and oversee projects through the contract administration phase. Key duties will include: - Reviewing construction documents to ensure compliance with firm standards, mechanical and building systems, codes, and ADA requirements. - Coordinating with consultants to ensure timely submission of project documents. - Managing engineering work to align with the design solution. - Overseeing contract documents and contract administration while adhering to established budgets. - Providing mentorship to junior team members. To qualify for this role, you must have the following education and work experience: - Graduated from an accredited architecture school. - Possess at least 5 years of experience in producing commercial interior design projects. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: - Proficient understanding of the commercial interior architecture and design industry, including familiarity with equipment, materials, space requirements, and design standards. - Advanced skills in AutoCAD/ADT and Revit software. - Extensive knowledge of contract administration, including experience in completing contract documents. - Thorough understanding of building systems, building codes, and ADA requirements. - Strong documentation and field observation abilities.
