Job Description

The Camp Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of camp operations, including program planning, staff management, safety protocols, and camper well-being. This role requires a strong leadership presence, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for youth development. As the primary point of contact for parents, staff, and campers, the Camp Director plays a crucial role in shaping the camp's culture and ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment. Planning and Program Development: - Designing camp curricula, activities, and schedules to meet the needs and interests of campers. Staff Management:- Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating camp staff, including counselors, activity specialists, and other support personnel. Operational Management:- Overseeing daily camp operations, including logistics, safety, and maintenance. Budget Management:- Managing camp budgets, financial operations, and fundraising efforts. Communication and Relationships:- Coordinating with parents, campers, community organizations, and other stakeholders. Safety and Well-being:- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers and staff, adhering to relevant regulations and policies. Problem-solving and Crisis Management:- Handling emergency situations and addressing concerns in a timely and effective manner. Promotion and Marketing:- Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract campers and promote the camp. Skills and Qualifications: Leadership and Management: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Problem-solving: Ability to address challenges and make sound decisions in a timely manner. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with campers, staff, parents, and other stakeholders.
