Job Description

Candidates with experience in the Oil & Gas industry will be prioritized first. Key Responsibilities:1. Laboratory Analysis & Testing Conduct chemical analysis of crude oil, natural gas, and refined petroleum products. Perform tests on fuels, lubricants, and additives to ensure compliance with industry standards (ASTM, ISO, API). Analyze water, soil, and air samples for environmental monitoring. 2. Quality Control & Assurance Monitor and maintain product quality at various stages of production. Ensure adherence to industry specifications and regulatory requirements. Identify impurities and contaminants and recommend corrective actions. 3. Process Optimization & Chemical Treatment Assist in refining and production process improvements through chemical analysis. Recommend appropriate chemical treatments to improve efficiency and reduce corrosion. Monitor chemical dosing in oil and gas production and processing units. 4. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance Ensure compliance with safety protocols, hazardous material handling, and environmental regulations. Maintain records and documentation for audits and regulatory inspections. Support waste management and pollution control initiatives. 5. Research & Development (R&D) Develop new chemical formulations for enhanced oil recovery and refining. Work with engineers to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. Conduct studies on alternative fuels and sustainable energy solutions. Skills & Qualifications:Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Additional certifications in petroleum chemistry or quality control are a plus. Technical Skills: Knowledge of laboratory equipment and analytical techniques (GC, HPLC, FTIR, XRF, etc.). Familiarity with oil refining processes, drilling fluids, and petrochemical operations. Understanding of industry regulations (OSHA, EPA, ISO, ASTM, API). Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
